I have been looking at the M32 platform and have been toying around with the idea of replacing my LS9-32 with a M32R + X32Rack (bypass the inputs/outputs) + DL16. It works and passes fine in a live venue at 100+db but in a studio they don't quite match up to other interfaces/converters in the same price range. Yamaha LS932 32 Channel Digital Mixing Console. DM1000 can not do either of these (neither can the M7CL) DM1000, 16 built in pre's have manual gain control so you have to use digital gain staging internally (EQ gains, etc.) to compensate for automation and recall. While being compact and light enough for one person to move and set up easily, both models include features that have been field-proven in previous Yamaha digital consoles as well as outstanding sonic quality.
